Global search interest for "NFT" surpassed "crypto" and "Bitcoin" for the first time ever this week, according to tweet from Google Trends. It appears search trends for non-fungible tokens are rising as the market increasingly serves as a vehicle within the growing metaverse and decentralized finance broadly. At the same time, Google searches for Bitcoin (BTC-USD) have not recovered since it hit a trough of $30K back in mid-July. The world's largest digital token did whipsaw to a record high later in November, but has since made lower highs off that peak, now changing hands below $48.8K per token. Previously, (Dec. 2) the first NFT focused exchange-traded fund went live.
