Closely watched cryptocurrency investor Michael Novogratz said Thursday that 100% of the Bitcoin (BTC-USD) mining done by his Galaxy Digital (OTCPK:BRPHF) firm will be green within a year, compared to the approximately 80% that now comes from renewable sources. Even so, the founder and CEO of Galaxy Digital (OTCPK:BRPHF) told CNBC that the criticism of Bitcoin (BTC-USD) as an environmental threat has become dramatically overblown. "We have this myth that it sucks up all this electricity because it uses as much electricity as Denmark. But have you ever been to Denmark? There are many people there. They don't use a lot of electricity," he said. Commenting on crypto trading in general, Novogratz acknowledged that tightening monetary could take some of the speculative funds out of the market. However, he believes that an "amazing adoption cycle" for the asset class will continue to give support to cryptos over the long haul. Asked
